In Caldera Group, our people are at the center of our business values. We are convinced that our employees and suppliers are the key to the success of our business activities. Hence, attracting and recruiting top talent with a can-do and cooperative attitude are of paramount importance, as they constitute the basis for excellent collaboration between the different sections of our business operations and its ensuing impressive results.
The philosophy of Caldera Group reflects the personal and business values of its founder, Eftychios Krommidakis, who set the example for the long-term success of the Group, through his exceptional management and confidence in people as the driving force of the Group’s constant expansion.
Since the Group’s founder sadly passed away in 2010, this strong people-centric philosophy has been perpetuated by his family, thus leading Caldera Group to new levels of business excellence.
During its long history, Caldera Group has always been fully dedicated to its partnerships with tour operators. At the same time, the Group has constantly been looking for new ways to drive higher profitability by further improving customer satisfaction. Moreover, major investment has regularly been made in staff training in order to ensure that everyone shares the same core values and vision.
Being a leader in the hospitality industry in Chania, as in the whole of Crete, Caldera Group remains true to the basic elements of the renowned Cretan hospitality, to the true meaning of the ancient Greek word “philoxenia” (philo = love + xenos = stranger) that is that we should treat our visitors as members of our own families.
The last essential aspect of the Group’s philosophy is that it is constantly moving on to new businesses opportunities, based on a large portfolio of untapped assets, while being laser-focused on its goals. We strongly believe in Henry Ford’s saying: “obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal”.
